About Office Space Scotland
Office Space Scotland was formed in 2012 and is affiliated to Office Space in Town, which is one of the industry’s most well-known flexible office space managers in the UK.
Our first Edinburgh property was 7/9 North Saint David Street, which has been running as a serviced office building since 1998. This was followed by the acquisition of 14-18 Hill Street in 2013.
Both businesses are Grade A listed Georgian buildings that have been sensitively renovated to provide a mixture of bright and appealing office space.

Having an office in a beautiful historic building is a privilege. At Office Space Scotland, we work to preserve the unique charm of these special spaces. Both our buildings retain many of their original period features and have been sensitively refurbished to make the most of their Georgian aesthetic.

Hi, I’m James. I’ve run Office Space Scotland since 2012. I came to the company via an unusual route, having previously worked as a solicitor in London, before I returned to my native Scotland and a career in real estate.
A solicitor and an office General Manager might seem like very different roles, but a lot of the skills required are the same – in both jobs you can never underestimate the importance of attention to detail, and of truly understanding what it is your client wants.
First and foremost, what we’ve always tried to do here is make the moving and settling-in process as simple as possible. An office move can be a stressful time, particularly when you still have the day job to get on with. We aim to make things stress-free and seamless.

Originally from New Zealand, I now call Edinburgh home and have been Office Manager at Office Space Scotland since 2008.
I get a kick out of creating efficient work environments that are truly people-focussed. After all, what are offices about, if not people? I really enjoy the dynamic nature of the work here. With so many different businesses coming and going, no one day is the same.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me on the netball court (well once a week anyway), catching a film or enjoying a night out at the theatre—musicals are my favourite! (Just ask me if you need any recommendations!)

I’m the Office Manager at our Hill Street office. I’ve been with Office Space Scotland for 12 years, starting out on reception before progressing into my current role. It’s been such a rewarding journey, and I feel lucky to work with such a close-knit, supportive team.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my young daughter, Sophie, exploring all the parks and beaches around Edinburgh with her.
Most weekends you’ll find me at the football with my family. But I also love travelling, so holidays are a real highlight for us all too.
